Carrie Preston (born June 21, 1967) 1 is a television actress, producer and director. Her husband is actor Michael Emerson , and her brother is actor John G. Preston .
Born and raised in Macon , Georgia . His mother was a therapist and his father a geotechnical engineer. A young Carrie Preston discovered his true vocation in the performing arts. He began acting in community theater at age 8 and 12 years old started his own theater company with other neighborhood children. Preston later earned a BA from the University of Evansville, followed by a diploma from the Juilliard School in New York .
Carrie Preston has worked with her husband, actor Michael Emerson , in a series of projects. Emerson won the role of Ben Linus in the television series Lost , and Carrie Preston was a guest star in episode 20 of season 3, The Man Behind the Curtain . She played Ben’s mother in several flashback scenes, but never appeared in any scenes together. Since 2008, Carrie Preston has given life to Arlene Fowler in True Blood, a series of HBO . also appeared in one of the first chapters of Sex and the City, which is interesting considering the main character, Carrie Bradshaw later marries Mr. Big , taking his name and his name convertirendo Carrie Preston. On July 31, 2010, Carrie Preston and her husband Michael Emerson read AR Gurney ‘s Love Letters , which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
