Bessie Love ( September 10 of 1898 – April 26 of 1986 ) was an American film actress who achieved fame largely due to his work in silent films and early in the sound. Small and attractive, often played innocent young, healthy and unconventional. Besides his work as an actress, wrote the film 1919 A Yankee Princess .
His real name was Juanita Horton , born in Midland, Texas . He was educated in Midland to get the eighth grade, when his father, chiropractor, moved his family to Hollywood . Bessie graduated from Los Angeles High School, after which he made a tour of the United States .
To help support the family, her mother sent her to Biograph Studios , where he met the pioneering film director DW Griffith . Griffith, who introduced Bessie in the film, the actress also gave his nickname. He gave her small roles in his films The Birth of a Nation ( 1915 ) and Intolerance ( 1916 ). He also starred with William S. Hart in The Aryan , with Douglas Fairbanks in The Good Bad Man, Reggie Mixes In and The Mystery of the Leaping Fish (all 1916 ).
In 1922 Love was selected as one of the Baby Stars WAMPAS . 1 2 A with increasing importance of their roles, increased his popularity. She danced Charleston in the film The King on Main Street in 1925 . That same year he starred in The Lost World (Lost World) , a fun science fiction based on the novel of the same name written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle . Three years later worked at The Matinee Idol (Minnie’s Theater) , a romantic comedy directed by a young Frank Capra .
